I was an active kid who played sports in school, but everything changed after I moved to Australia. A tight schedule with university and part-time jobs led me to eat poorly, and I gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time. It affected my body image and confidence, and worst of all, I was very unhealthy, unfit and getting sick often.
I knew I had to change my situation. I wanted to lose fat, build lean muscles, look better, and be healthier, so I decided to join the local gym. However, I had no idea how to weight train properly or eat a proper diet. I turned to fitness magazines and websites for help, but the results were minimal and frustrating. I even paid a hefty amount and got a plan from the most jacked and shredded trainer in the gym, but nothing worked.
I refused to give up and started studying nutrition and strength training. Soon, I realized that the information I was receiving from fitness/bodybuilding websites and the 'best trainers in the gym' was inaccurate, and I became passionate about learning more and more.
I've been skinny, I’ve been overweight and I’ have been fit. I've been through all stages of the health and fitness journey, and I know how it feels when you don't see the results you deserve after spending hours in the gym.
